Author: David A. Clark
Postdoctoral training under Aaron T. Beck at the Center for Cognitive Therapy in Pennsylvania set the direction of David A. Clark's work. He completed his PhD in 1984 at the Institute of Psychiatry in London, went on to practise as a clinical psychologist for over thirty years, treating anxiety, depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder, and is now emeritus professor of psychology at New Brunswick, in Canada. New Harbinger published The Anxious Thoughts Workbook in March 2018, a self-help programme for unwanted intrusive thoughts that cuts across diagnoses: instead of arguing with an intrusion, the reader learns to strip it of the meaning that makes it stick. Judith S. Beck contributed the foreword.
