Deborah Fletcher Mello

Deborah Fletcher Mello builds romantic suspense and contemporary romance featuring accomplished professionals, close families, and relationships shaped under pressure. Seduced by the Badge opens the To Serve and Seduce series with Chicago detective Armstrong Black and Atlanta detective Danni Winstead. Their reluctant partnership forms around an investigation connected to Danni’s sister, while differing methods and growing trust complicate the case. A 2018 Harlequin Romantic Suspense edition launched the sequence, followed by Tempted by the Badge and Reunited by the Badge. Mello’s larger bibliography includes the Stallion family stories and numerous law-enforcement romances, giving this opening installment a recognizable blend of procedural stakes and emotional negotiation. Seduced by the Badge introduces its series through two investigators who must respect each other’s competence before their attraction can become credible. Readers of Deborah Fletcher Mello will find a brisk romance where professional responsibility remains central, and partnership develops through shared risk rather than replacing the work that brought the characters together.
