Dina Silver

Dina Silver writes contemporary fiction about families, relationships, and women who leave familiar routines for uncertain situations. The Unimaginable follows Jessica Gregory from a small Indiana town to Phuket, where she joins the crew of a sailing boat and crosses the Indian Ocean. The voyage gives the novel an adventure framework while keeping Jessica's decisions and developing confidence at its centre. Lake Union Publishing issued the book in 2014, after Silver changed its working title during publication. Her other novels include One Pink Line, Kat Fight, Finding Bliss, and No Time to Blink. Silver's own announcement of The Unimaginable emphasized that its wider setting and sustained suspense differed from her earlier work. Even with that shift, the book retains her interest in personal reinvention and the emotional consequences of choosing an unfamiliar path. Her catalogue moves between domestic stories and travel-based narratives, often following characters who must reconsider plans they once treated as settled.
