Donna Fletcher has written historical romance across the American West, medieval Ireland and the Scottish Highlands. Her early catalogue included San Francisco Surrender with Kensington, Tame My Wild Touch with Kensington, and Rebellious Bride with Diamond Books. Those western-set novels place courtship and questions of independence against frontier communities. Fletcher later developed several Highland sequences. Highlander's Rebellious Love belongs to the Macinnes Sisters trilogy and follows Patience Macinnes during a dispute between clans. Her broader bibliography includes the Sinclare Brothers, Warrior King, and Cree and Dawn books. After publishing with established New York houses, Fletcher continued releasing later work independently.
