Drew McGunn writes alternate-history science fiction that reimagines the Texas Revolution through a time-displaced protagonist. Comanche Moon Falling and To the Victors the Remains are the second and third volumes in his Lone Star Reloaded sequence. The series begins after Will Travers awakens in 1836 in the body of William Barret Travis and changes the expected outcome at the Alamo. Comanche Moon Falling follows the consequences of that intervention as Will confronts a changed frontier without reliable knowledge of what comes next. To the Victors the Remains continues the altered timeline and the political complications created by survival. McGunn uses the sequence format to explore how one departure from recorded events can produce further uncertainty rather than a simple correction. Both titles were also issued in 2018 audio editions narrated by Corey M. Snow through Tantor Media. Their consecutive positions matter because each develops the same revised history, recurring protagonist, and expanding consequences established by the first volume.
