Elia Winters won a RITA Award in 2019 for Three-Way Split. Carina Press brought out Hairpin Curves the following year, in which Megan Harris, twenty-five and never once out of Florida, accepts both a wedding invitation to Quebec in February and a road trip north with Scarlett, the former friend she would least like to share a car with for a week. Winters holds a master's degree in English literature and teaches at a small rural high school in western Massachusetts, where she also runs the drama club. She spent much of her own childhood in Florida, the state Hairpin Curves drives away from, and writes explicit contemporary romance with a comic streak.
