Elizabeth Stacey
Elizabeth Stacey is the romance writer credited with Fractured, the opening novel in her Broken series. The story follows McKenna Brooks after she and her friend are abducted, while mixed martial arts fighter Dalton Taylor searches for his missing sister. Published in 2014, it stands as the first volume of the Broken sequence. Stacey builds the novel around parallel forms of responsibility. McKenna tries to protect the only family she has left, and Dalton must look beyond an approaching title fight when his own family disappears. Their connection develops inside a survival plot rather than apart from it, giving the romance a darker dramatic frame than an ordinary first meeting. Fractured introduces Elizabeth Stacey's Broken sequence through captivity, family loyalty, and recovery, with the central characters brought together by a crisis that forces each to reconsider what strength and sacrifice require.
