Cheri Schmidt

Cheri Schmidt writes fantasy and paranormal romance, with Fractured continuing the story begun in Fateful. Ethan and Danielle believe they have escaped the worst danger surrounding them, but their discovery of a cure intensifies conflict among opposing vampire groups. Some want to protect the couple, while others see their knowledge as a threat. Fractured is the second Fateful volume and develops its established central relationship under mounting pressure. Its title points to the strain placed on Ethan and Danielle as political conflict widens around them. Fractured gives readers a sequel built from consequences: an apparent solution creates new danger, loyalties divide, and the couple must survive the result of what they uncovered. Schmidt combines romantic commitment with an expanding supernatural struggle, using the series structure to make earlier discoveries matter to later choices.
