Elle Luna

The Crossroads of Should and Must began as an illustrated essay Luna put online, arguing that most people can name the thing they would do if permitted and are waiting for permission that is not coming. The book keeps the hand-lettering and the paintings. She trained as a designer, worked at IDEO and on the early Mailbox app, and the argument comes out of leaving that. It is short, and the criticism it attracts is that following a calling is easier with savings, which the book does not really answer.
