Elsa Winckler is a South African romance novelist whose stories often connect family histories with characters rebuilding trust. Protecting Lindsay is the second book in her Unexpected Love series, following Kissing Charlie and preceding Loving Brooke and Adoring Stacey. Published by Inkspell Publishing in 2022, it centres on Lindsay Wilson, who runs a shop selling her own creams and essential-oil blends, and Blake Davidson, who wants to shield her from a threatening former partner who has followed her from South Africa to Montana. Winckler studied English literature and cites classic novelists among her long-standing influences.
