Emily Wibberley has never published a book alone. She writes with her husband, Austin Siegemund-Broka; the two met in high school, went to Princeton and Harvard respectively, and have published jointly since 2018. Always Never Yours, that first book, follows a high school senior cast as Juliet's nurse rather than Juliet in the school production of Romeo and Juliet. Time of Our Lives, from 2020, sends two teenagers on a campus tour through New England. With and Without You, published in 2022, keeps a settled couple together through a senior year split between two cities after one of them moves to Austin. The Roughest Draft, also 2022, was their first novel for adults: two former writing partners who no longer speak are held by contract to finish one more book together. Do I Know You?, from 2023, drops a married couple into a resort where nobody knows them and they agree to pretend they are strangers. The pair also write as part of the shared authorial identity E. B. Asher.
