Erin Fletcher

Erin Fletcher writes contemporary fiction for younger readers, often placing emotional recovery beside the uncertainty of first love. Where You’ll Find Me follows Hanley Helton after she discovers Nate, a missing teenager, secretly living in her family’s garage. Their guarded conversations create a bond, but both are withholding the reasons they need somewhere to hide. Entangled Teen issued the story in 2014, and its premise combines romance with a mystery about Nate’s disappearance and Hanley’s past. Fletcher keeps the story close to Hanley’s choices, showing how secrecy can feel protective even as it increases risk. The garage setting gives the relationship an enclosed, temporary quality, while news of the missing boy steadily presses the outside world into that refuge. Readers drawn to character-led suspense will find that the central question is not simply where Nate has been. Where You’ll Find Me is also concerned with grief, trust, and whether two vulnerable people can help each other without turning concealment into another form of harm.
