Eryk Pruitt
Eryk Pruitt tells crime and suspense stories through fiction, film, radio and podcasts. His short fiction has appeared in The Avalon Literary Review, Thuglit, Pulp Modern and Zymbol, and his film work has received festival awards. Something Bad Wrong uses two timelines to connect a North Carolina deputy’s unfinished 1972 investigation with his granddaughter Jess Keeler’s later work as a true-crime podcaster. The novel began the Jess Keeler series, followed by Blood Red Summer. Pruitt’s earlier books include Dirtbags, Hashtag, What We Reckon and the collection Townies. What We Reckon reached the Anthony Award finalist list, while his monthly program The Crime Scene extended that interest into a radio show and podcast about crime fiction and related issues.
