Eugene Linden is an environmental journalist and author whose reporting follows the pressure that global markets and political decisions place on remote ecosystems and Indigenous communities. Linden does not treat isolation as timeless or romantic. He records communities making choices under unequal conditions and landscapes changing within a witness's lifetime.
