Francisco de Quevedo

Francisco de Quevedo (1580-1645) was one of the towering figures of the Spanish Golden Age, a poet, satirist, and statesman famous for his savage wit. His rivalry with the poet Luis de Gongora was legendary, and his dense conceptista style shaped Spanish literature for generations.
