Gary Williams
Gary Williams writes thrillers that connect contemporary investigations with historical objects, disputed evidence, and international intrigue. Before The Proof introduces CIA agent Samuel Tolen in a short work set before the novel Indisputable Proof. Tolen follows an arms dealer to Sri Lanka and uncovers a plan whose intended victim and location remain unknown, giving the story a compact espionage structure. Williams later developed Samuel Tolen's world with Vicky Knerly in the God Tools novels, including Indisputable Proof, Evil in the Beginning, End in the Beginning, and Blood Legacy. Their collaboration places intelligence work beside archaeology, religious artifacts, and concealed histories. Before The Proof is credited to Williams alone, but it functions as an entry point to the shared series that followed. His work with Knerly also extends to other mystery projects, showing a recurring preference for investigators who must connect incomplete records, physical clues, and competing accounts before they can understand the larger threat.
