George Fitch

George Fitch (1877-1915) was an American journalist and humorist who graduated from Knox College in Illinois in 1897. He worked as a newspaperman before reaching a national audience with his lighthearted Siwash College sketches in the Saturday Evening Post. His comic writing about small-town and campus life made him a widely read figure in the years before his early death at thirty-eight.
