India Harper
India Harper is the shared writing identity of Philippa Grey-Gerou and Emery Sanborne, collaborators whose fiction under that name often follows relationships within Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Sins of Arrogance opens the Creatures of Sin sequence in Pittsburgh's Zone Six police unit. Carver Eliot arrives after a demotion caused by impulsive professional behavior, while Lieutenant David Logan values order and expects stricter discipline. Their opposing temperaments make the workplace conflict inseparable from the attraction that develops between them. First published in 2009, the novel combines contemporary romance with a police mystery and introduces characters who continue through later Creatures of Sin volumes. Sins of Arrogance establishes India Harper's collaborative voice through alternating tensions: control against spontaneity, rules against improvisation, and public responsibility against private choices that neither protagonist can keep neatly contained.
