Jacqueline Holland writes speculative and fantasy fiction concerned with memory, time, and the costs of living beyond ordinary limits. Her debut novel, The God of Endings, was published by Flatiron Books in 2023. It follows Collette LeSange, an immortal artist who runs a fine-art school for children in upstate New York during the 1980s while memories of earlier centuries press into her present. Holland treats immortality not simply as adventure but as a way to examine family, solitude, responsibility, and the search for meaning when familiar endings no longer apply. She holds an MFA awarded by the University of Kansas, and Macmillan notes that the novel appeared on several Best of 2023 lists.
