Jane McLelland
📚 1 Book ✍️ Biography 📄 PDF & EPUB

McLelland is a chartered physiotherapist, not a physician. Treated for cervical cancer and then for secondary lung cancer and a marrow disorder caused by the treatment, she assembled alongside conventional care a regime of cheap old drugs prescribed off label, among them metformin, a statin, cimetidine and dipyridamole, on the theory that cutting a tumour's supply of glucose, glutamine and fats will starve it. She has been well for many years, and How to Starve Cancer lays out what she took as a metro map of metabolic pathways. The book is self-published, the combination has never been through a trial, and she now sells courses and lists practitioners who follow the protocol. Individual repurposed drugs are under genuine research; the package is not.
