Jared Kushner
1981
Kushner ran a family property firm and bought the New York Observer at twenty-five, then served as a senior White House adviser to his father-in-law, with a portfolio covering the Middle East, criminal justice reform and, in 2020, parts of the pandemic response. Breaking History is his own telling of that, written from his side and reviewed harshly by people who had been in the same rooms. His father was convicted in 2005 of tax evasion, illegal campaign donations and witness tampering, and was pardoned in 2020. After leaving office Kushner raised a two billion dollar investment fund with Saudi backing.
