Jazon Dion Fletcher
Jazon Dion Fletcher writes speculative fiction that combines fantasy, science fiction, gothic imagery, and cyberpunk technology. Skull Flowers began in an earlier screenplay-like form and later appeared in a substantially expanded 2019 edition from Tryptamine Press. The story follows Alexis, her robot companion 808, and Officer Whistle Britches as they investigate the forces behind her father’s death. Its setting joins ancient sorcery to advanced machines, with polluted landscapes, strange institutions, and deliberately extravagant character names creating a hybrid world. Skull Flowers combines teen fantasy, dystopian fiction, gothic fiction, and cyberpunk rather than fitting a single genre. Fletcher also published The Supplicants Social Distancing Handbook, though Skull Flowers dominates his public author record. The distinction between its shorter 2012 draft and later full-length editions is important because page count, publisher, and presentation changed across versions.
