Jean Lang

Jean Lang (1867-1932), who also wrote as Jeanie Lang and as Mrs. John Lang, was a Scottish writer with a long interest in myth and legend: where the stories came from, and how they shifted as they passed from teller to teller. She wrote mainly for general and younger readers, retelling classical and historical material in books such as Stories from the Iliad and Stories from the Faerie Queene. A Book of Myths, illustrated by Helen Stratton and published in 1915, is the work still most often attached to her name.
