Jessica Haight is a children's author who developed the Fairday Morrow mysteries with her longtime friend Stephanie Robinson. The Secret Files of Fairday Morrow began with Haight's idea for a strange old house inspired by a place connected to her grandfather. Haight and Robinson then built the story together, combining Fairday's move to the Begonia House with clues investigated by the Detective Mystery Squad. Delacorte Press published the middle-grade novel, and Roman Muradov illustrated it. The book is the first Fairday Morrow adventure, followed by Fairday Morrow and the Talking Library. Haight and Robinson also bring the series' puzzles and collaborative storytelling into school visits and classroom activities.
