Jim Carrey

1962

Memoirs and Misinformation is a novel, written with Dana Vachon, in which a character called Jim Carrey lives in Los Angeles, is frightened of being nobody, and watches the world end. Carrey has said the version of himself in it is not him and is not entirely not him. He spent the eighties in Canadian clubs and got famous very fast in 1994 with three films in one year. He has talked publicly about long depressions and about coming off medication, paints in a studio most days, and has repeatedly announced he is finished with acting.
