Kamilla Benko

Kamilla Benko creates fantasy for middle-grade readers, making sisterhood and trust matter as much as magic. Secret in the Stone is the second Unicorn Quest adventure, returning Claire and Sophie to Arden after their first encounter with its unicorns and four magical guilds. Claire must understand a newly discovered power while Sophie faces a separate danger, giving the sisters related but distinct paths through the story. Fire in the Star concludes the trilogy as war threatens Arden and the search for a hidden object tests what the girls have learned about loyalty, leadership, and one another. Bloomsbury Children's Books published both volumes, placing them after The Unicorn Quest in the series sequence. Benko previously worked as a children's book editor, experience reflected in the brisk structure, layered clues, and accessible world-building of these novels. Together, Secret in the Stone and Fire in the Star move the trilogy from discovery toward a final struggle over Arden's future.
