Kathy Lette, born on November 11, 1958, is an Australian and British author. She first gained attention in 1979 as the co-author (with Gabrielle Carey) of “Puberty Blues”, a teen novel about two 13-year-old girls navigating their social status in Australia’s surfing world. The book was later adapted into a film and a TV series. Lette has written several novels, including “Girls’ Night Out”, “Foetal Attraction”, and “Mad Cows” (which was made into a film starring Joanna Lumley and Anna Friel). She left Australia for the United Kingdom in 1988 and became a British citizen in 2011. Lette’s diverse literary career also includes an opera adaptation of her book “How to Kill Your Husband (and other handy household hints)”.
