Katie Henry writes novels and plays focused on teenage lives. Her books include Heretics Anonymous, Let’s Call It a Doomsday, This Will Be Funny Someday and Gideon Green in Black and White. In This Will Be Funny Someday, a high school student unexpectedly performs at an open mic after entering a Chicago comedy club, drawing Henry’s fiction into the world of stand-up performance. Henry earned a BFA in dramatic writing at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She is also a published playwright specializing in theatre for young audiences, and her plays have been staged by schools and community groups in over thirty states.
