Katy Evans

Katy Evans self-published Real in April 2013, a contemporary romance pairing an underground boxing champion, Remington Tate, with Brooke Dumas, a sports rehabilitation therapist. Its sequel, Mine, went straight to number one on Amazon's romance chart and on to the national bestseller lists, and the run came to five such bestsellers in two years. The story ran on through Mine, Remy, Rogue, Ripped and Legend. Evans, an American born in 1976, has stayed with contemporary romance since. Best Man, from 2019, is built on a groom who forgets the wedding rings, the bride who sets off to fetch them herself, and the hours she spends stuck in a car with Miles Foster, the best man the groom sends in his place.
