Kosoko Jackson
Jackson works in political digital strategy in Washington and writes romance and young adult fiction. His first novel, set during the Kosovo war, was withdrawn by him weeks before publication in 2019 after readers objected that it put American teenagers at the centre of somebody else's atrocity; he had been publicly critical of other writers on the same grounds, and he said so when he apologised. He returned with Yesterday Is History and then adult romantic comedies, of which A Dash of Salt and Pepper sends its lead back to his Maine home town after the job and the boyfriend both fall through, and into a restaurant kitchen.
