Lauren Gilley

Lauren Gilley writes interconnected novels that mix family drama with romance, crime and fantasy. Snow in Texas belongs to Lean Dogs Legacy, while Loverboy and The Wild Charge are entries in the related Dartmoor cycle published by HP Press. Her other long-form series include the Walker Family, Sons of Rome and the Drake Chronicles. In a 2025 interview, Gilley identified complicated families as a recurring focus across genres. She also described working on several manuscripts until one passes roughly fifty thousand words, then concentrating on that project through completion. A lifelong equestrian, she draws part of her routine and creative rhythm from daily work with horses.
