Leighann Dobbs

Leighann Dobbs writes American mystery and romance fiction known for light, series-based fiction. Ghostly Paws opens her Mystic Notch Cozy Mystery sequence and introduces Willa Chance, a former crime journalist who returns to Mystic Notch, New Hampshire, after an accident. Willa takes over her grandmother’s bookshop and discovers that she can see ghosts, including a librarian who wants help resolving an unsettled case. Her cat, Pandora, and the town’s other unusually perceptive felines add a playful supernatural layer to the investigation. Dobbs’s official book page identifies Ghostly Paws as the first series volume and notes its 2015 Chanticleer Mystery and Mayhem award. Open Library records a 2014 CreateSpace edition, confirming the book’s early publication history. The novel establishes the sequence’s recurring blend of small-town relationships, bookish settings, paranormal clues, and gentle puzzle solving. It also gives Willa a new professional and personal direction as she learns to trust an ability she never expected to possess.
