Luke Richardson
Luke Richardson, a Nottingham thriller writer, taught English to teenagers before turning to fiction, and he still spends a good part of each year travelling, setting his books in places he has visited himself. His first novel, Kathmandu Killers, opened a run of cases for the investigators Leo and Allissa, who follow missing people from Nepal to Hong Kong to Berlin. The Atlantis Agenda, from 2023, comes from a later sequence about the archaeologist Eden Black: an orb unearthed in Mexico appears to predate the city around it, then vanishes along with the team that dug it up, and Black goes after both. He has carried that series on through several more, The Lotus Key among them, and started a third around Nora Byrd, a retired Air Force pilot.
