Lydia Michaels
Lydia Michaels had been publishing romance for six years when Berkley took on the Surrender trilogy, the series she credits with her breakthrough. Breaking Out, which appeared in November 2013 between Falling In and Coming Home, finds Evelyn Keats, known as Scout, installed in the penthouse of the hotel owner Lucian Patras after Lucian bargains with Parker Hughes, a dangerous figure from her past, and agrees to stay away from her for thirty days. Scout declines the role of prize in that arrangement. Michaels has written McCullough Mountain, Jasper Falls, The Order of Vampires and several other series, and her own site now counts more than fifty novels since she began in 2007. Happenings Media named her author of the year in 2018 and again in 2019, and she coaches other writers through her firm, LMC Consulting.
