Elizabeth Reyes
Elizabeth Reyes, who writes from Southern California, began self-publishing contemporary romance in 2010 with Forever Mine and built the Moreno Brothers books around a Mexican American family in that state, work that carried her onto the USA Today bestseller list. She followed with 5th Street, about young Hispanic boxers out of East Los Angeles and the women they fall for, then Boyle Heights, Looking Glass and the De Luca Boys. Fate, Breaking Brandon, Again, Rage and Uninvited all belong to her seven-book Fate sequence, which grew out of the Moreno Brothers world. Romero stays with the Moreno Brothers, pairing a short-fused man of that name with Isabel Montenegro, a middle school teacher whose instincts tell her to run and who stays regardless.
