Maggie Dallen

Maggie Dallen writes lighthearted contemporary and historical romance, including books for younger readers. The Love Fakers opens her three-book Love Quiz sequence, followed by The Deal Breakers and The Match Makers. Its high-school story pairs ambitious Anna with laid-back Zach for a psychology assignment designed to test whether a dating app can be fooled. Their planned fake dates turn a classroom experiment into a challenge to the assumptions each has made about the other. Dallen’s own bookstore groups the novel with her younger-reader romances, while the wider series carries the same school project through three different couples. The compact format, opposites-attract setup, and emphasis on friendship give the book the upbeat character associated with her sweet romance catalogue.
