David Yoon

Frankly in Love has a Korean American teenager arrange a fake relationship with another Korean American to keep both sets of parents quiet while he dates somebody else, and the novel takes the parents seriously instead of using them as an obstacle. City of Orange strands a man in a wrecked landscape with no memory of how he arrived. Yoon designs and illustrates, and is married to the novelist Nicola Yoon, with whom he co-founded a publishing imprint for Black writers.
