Mason Currey
1980
Currey began Daily Rituals as a blog while editing an architecture magazine, collecting the working habits of writers, composers and painters largely because he was avoiding his own work. The book gathers about a hundred and sixty of them and refuses to draw a lesson: some rose at five, some worked drunk, several depended on wives who handled everything else. A second volume covered women, whose routines were shaped mostly by whoever kept interrupting them.
