Meik Wiking

Wiking runs the Happiness Research Institute in Copenhagen, a small independent outfit studying why some populations report being satisfied with their lives. The Little Book of Hygge exported a Danish word for warmth, candles and low-stakes company, and sold in enormous numbers across Britain and America inside a single winter. The Little Book of Lykke widened the argument to what different countries happen to do well. He worked at a Danish environmental think tank before this.
