Pandora Sykes and Dolly Alderton recorded The High Low weekly from 2017 until they closed it in December 2020, a British show that mixed serious news with popular culture. Sykes had been fashion features editor and a columnist at The Sunday Times Style, and has written for ELLE, Vogue and The Telegraph. Hutchinson published her first book, How Do We Know We're Doing It Right?, in 2020: essays on wellness, choice, consumerism and womanhood that questioned the stories modern life tells about itself, and it reached the Sunday Times bestseller list. Her later podcast The Missing, on long-term missing person cases, was nominated for best true crime podcast at the 2021 British Podcast Awards.
