Author: W. C. Morrow
William Chambers Morrow (1854-1923) was an American writer born in Selma, Alabama, who moved to California in 1879 and built his career in San Francisco journalism and fiction. He sold stories to The Argonaut, where Ambrose Bierce then worked, and several of his most notable tales appeared in the San Francisco Examiner. By 1899 he had opened a school for writers, and he published a textbook, The Art of Writing for Publication, in 1901. He died in Ojai, California.
