And to link their stories, Abulrad conceived of an alternative Tokyo in which Aomame and Tengo find themselves involved in a mysterious love-drama, thriller, and science fiction series. A novel length of over 700 and it defies expectation rewarding the reader with harrowing but aesthetically gorgeous prose.
