A Manual of Pronunciation

A Manual of Pronunciation is a 1904 school reference by Otis Ashmore (died 1932), the Georgia educator and longtime superintendent of schools in Savannah. The manual sets out the correct pronunciation of commonly mispronounced words for the use of students and teachers, in the prescriptive tradition of turn-of-the-century American education.
