About this book

Chris Dulabone is one of the longtime contributors to the unauthorized but enthusiastic continuation of L. Frank Baum's Oz universe, and Abducted to Oz fits squarely in that tradition. A modern visitor finds themselves transported to Oz, the established characters are present, and the plot moves through familiar Oz territory with new variations.

Dulabone's prose is in the spirit of the original books. The tone is whimsical, the danger is light, and the resolution comes through cleverness and friendship rather than violence.

For longtime Oz fans who have worked through the original Baum books and the official Ruth Plumly Thompson sequels, the unauthorized continuations are part of the larger fan tradition. Dulabone is one of the more reliable voices in that space.

New readers should start with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz before any continuation. For dedicated Oz readers, this is a comfortable addition.
