About this book
Accidental Flight by F. L. Wallace is introduced as a story about outcasts of a society of physically perfect people, who couldn't stay and couldn't go home again. A character named Dr. Cameron tells Docchi that the request was turned over to the Medicouncil, and that after studying it they reported back to the Solar Committee. One speaker says Someone is organizing them, and the reply names Docchi, Nona, Anti, and Jordan.
The medicouncilor says that Docchi was an electrochemical engineer, specializing in cold lighting, and was badly mangled and tossed into a tank of cold lighting fluid by automatic machinery. The text says Anti would block the corridor, and that a geepee might go through her but could never squeeze past her. The text says the orbit of Neptune was far behind and still the asteroid was accelerating, with two giant gravital units straining at the core of Handicap Haven.
