Across the Zodiac

Across the Zodiac is an 1880 science fiction novel by Percy Greg (1836-1889), notable as one of the earliest tales of interplanetary travel and an early imagining of a voyage to Mars. The narrator journeys to Mars in a craft driven by an anti-gravity force Greg called apergy, and finds a complex Martian civilisation.
