Murderbot Diaries is a series by Martha Wells, which is started from All Systems Red. It centers on a sarcastic UI/IR narrative of a Murderbot, a security android, which wants to kill the humans it is supposed to protect figuring out how it can stop watching soaps instead. In this breezy and intellectually sparkling piece of science fiction, the questions of self and self-determination, individuality and dependency, and people’s relationships to intelligent machines are posed and hauntingly answered.
