About this book
The title describes the work as an explanation and vindication of the principles and doctrines of the people called Quakers, written in Latin and English. The listed propositions concern universal redemption by Christ and the saving, spiritual light with which every person is enlightened. The argument presents divine mercy as excluding nobody necessarily from salvation and divine justice as condemning only those offered sufficient means of salvation.
The discussion of grace attributes all good actions, the beginnings of good, and the soul’s whole conversion and salvation to the Grace of God. The discussion of sacraments says the name is absent from Scripture and was borrowed from military oaths among the Heathens.
