About this book

Dana Schwartz's historical fiction book "Anatomy: A Love Story" is set in Scotland in the eighteenth century. The main character of the story is Hazel Sinnett, a wealthy 17-year-old girl with an unwavering love of science. Despite society's anticipation that Hazel will marry Bernard, the future Viscount Almont, she wants to become a physician. Resurrection men regularly steal human practice specimens from cemeteries and surgery is perceived as barbarous and low class in this newly burgeoning field.

Events that present challenges: Along with the mystery surrounding homeless people's disappearances. Hazel collaborates with a resurrection guy named Jack to gather remains for her studies. A story of aspiration knowledge that is prohibited and surprising connections.
