About this book
Bible Studies in the Life of Paul, Historical and Constructive, is by the Rev. Henry T. Sell. The preface says the book of Acts shows in a very graphic way the rapid growth and marvelous progress of Christianity in the midst of great opposition. One passage says that Paul had a married sister who lived in Jerusalem and relatives in Rome.
Another line has Paul, speaking in this chief Jewish city, say that he was brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers. A section titled The Voyage to Rome says that Paul now begins his long delayed trip to Rome not, however, as he expected a free man, but as a prisoner. The section on the first epistle to Timothy says that Timothy was one of the close companions of Paul.
